If you can’t sit still, that’s a problem

I heard this from someone in the last week and I think that it is a very good message.

If you can’t sit still for a few minutes without feeling like you have to check your phone, you have too much going on in your life.

Technology has really made it easier to get in contact with people and we are starting to get to dependent on it. If you can’t sit still for just a few minutes without feeling the need to reach for your phone, you should look at what is important in your life.

When Too Busy Is Too Much

It is okay to step back at times and take it easier. With a number of things going on in my life now between personal life and work, it has jest seemed like everything has been rushing by and with that feeling, I need to find a time to just stop and relax and that isn’t always easy to do.

Don’t lose your mind over minor stuff.

Why is that people seem to lose their minds over something that doesn’t truly impact them? A sports injury, celebrity gossip (don’t get me started on gossip), a minor change in things – all things that seem to set people off these days. These things are typically life or death, just minor things in life that really don’t change anything. People tend to overreact to anything now, and not see how it will really impact them.

Disconnect

It pained me to see so many people “tethered” to power sources at a festival I was at over this weekend. Have we as a society become so addicted to our phones? I know that at a festival you are trying to get  in touch with people, but I don’t think that people should be using them so much that you have to keep charging them. People should disconnect in those things. You just can’t let life pass you by.

Life behind the scenes.
