West Bend decided to not merge the schools. Our uniqueness remains.

To merge or not to merge, that is the question.
West Bend is considering merging the two high schools, which already share a building. Most of the thoughts seem to be going with sports – either to keep them separate for more opportunities, or to combine them to help competitiveness.
I’m still a little torn on this and haven’t made up my mind. I am a West alum.
Never Forget
We will probably never forget where we were and what we were doing when we heard the news about the attacks. You may not know someone in New York or Washington or someone who was killed in the attacks. You may remember pictures for planes crashing or stories of survivors. Our friends and family have helped us through this time. It will not be forgotten. Keep this in your mind as you go about your business today. And do that business – otherwise the terrorists have won.
In The News Race To Be First, No One Wins
It seems like media outlets now more care about being first than actually making sure the story is right. These early stories are always coming from “sources” or “people familiar with the matter.” News sites seem to take any little rumor or something that a “source” says as truth. I am seeing this in tech news, sports news, almost any kind of news.
When this happens, no one wins. People are given false information and the media outlet looks stupid and loses some trust.
If you can’t show who the source is, should it really be reported? I don’t think so. If I was running a news outlet, I would rather be correct than first. I know that technology has sped up the pace of news, but I feel that credibility is more important.
