People seem to get caught up in the fact that they are not a the ultimate goal of the journey that they forget about and don’t realize all the progress that they have made toward it. They look at what they don’t have and not what they do have.

“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow…”
Sometimes life throws you curve balls. You may not have any idea what the future holds. You may not even know where to begin right away. Being anxious does nothing to help with this. It takes things out of perspective and takes you away from where you should be going. Over thinking can be a bad thing.
This is something that I have worked through a lot lately. There have been unknowns with work, personal life, future – you name it, there has likely been an unknown in that area lately for me. I don’t know where things are going to be going. There are things that felt like they were going to be good, but turned out not so good. There are areas where it seems like everything is in a fog. It is easy for this to make things unsettled for people, but it doesn’t have to paralyze you and I am trying to not let it paralyze me.
What this season is teaching me is increased trust and faith in God. We know we have a loving and caring God who will provide in His timing, not ours. It takes faith and trust go let go our how we want to control our live and let Him take control and to not worry and be anxious about what is going on.
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
– Matthew 6:25-34
While this hasn’t been the easiest season for me, I am learning and growing through this.
Wall of change
Sometimes change can seem slow, like it isn’t happening. You may not feel that change until the right moment and when that happens, it can hit you like a brick wall.
Growth
In order to grow, you are going to have to get out of your comfort zone. You are going to have to do things that aren’t easy. Once those things start to feel more natural, you know you’ve made some progress. There are places recently that I have really felt this.
Change doesn’t change
There will always be changes. You may not understand the reason behind them, but change is one of the only constant things in life.
Self-Edit
People self-edit what they choose to post online. What you are seeing is the highlight reel. It might not be an indicator of what really is going on in their life.
Focus
If you are always focusing on what you don’t have, you’ll never appreciate what you do have.
The Struggle Is Real… Good
Even though it may seem that struggles may not be too good of a thing, but you can learn from those struggles and they will prepare you for something better.
Internet is Public
Almost everything on the Internet really is public. Don’t post anything, even if you think it is private, that you wouldn’t say in public. People will find it and may try to do something about it.
Resolve to make good resolutions
I think that having a New Year’s Resolution/goal/whatever you want to call it is not a bad idea. However, you have to make it something that is attainable. I feel that some on the resolutions made are just too far of a stretch or setting people up for failure that they are not good ones to make.
