New whattheanvil.net Design
This is the offical unvailing of the new look for whattheanvil.net. And no, the Packers.com redesign had no influnce on me redesigning the site.
More on the redesign
I am still working on it but I believe the official debut will be sometime in early September (I’m shooting for September 1). The “Full Archive” will look better in the new look than it looks now. You may see a sneak peek every now and then until it is offically debuted.
- UPDATE: I was working on something for the new site and introduced it into this theme incase I need it before the relaunch and working on that fixed the problem on the Full Archive.
Gas Prices
At least we are not at our record of $3.359 yet (same station)…And you may have seen me testing a new layout for the site… no date for it has been decided yet. I’ve been working on a few things (and fixing some things, wating for others to get back up)…
Design Problems Solved
The sizing issues are gone, and so are tables! I was also having a gap appear between the header and the sidebar in Safari, but that has been fixed as well. Everything should be very similar in every browser. I am also taking advantage of the WordPress template system. And it is XHTML and CSS compliant now.
Spring Break Update Finished
Well, the annual Spring Break update has been finshed. Less graphics, the blog is the main feature of the site, the dropping of the name “What The Blog?”, a few minor things here and there, and use of CSS for color changes. There may be some text sizing issues in Firefox and Safari (but not IE, suprisingly), but I know about it and may be doing something about it. We’ll see.
Moved the blog
I decided to move the blog to the main section of the website. The old setup stemmed from the main page being more of a portal, but I don’t see the site like that any more. I’ve got some new things coming soon… You may catch me testing it…
Updates Moved
All site updates will now be posted on the main page. Thank you.
Logo Updates
The refresh of the site has been finished with updated logos.
Severe Weather Updates
I will now try to include any severe weather watch info when there is one that concerns me and I am able to keep the info updated and taken down when it is cancelled/expires.
Mostly done…
I’m mostly done with the updates to the look – there are a few minor things left – namley logo work. I also fixed things I forgot about in the last logo revision. And now with a job, I can’t say when the logos will get done.
