Now, there is a sign where every word – except EXIT – is misspelled.

Stevens Point has closed their public and private schools today, June 7th. No, not snow or cold or ice, but for the risk of Severe Weather. Usually, you don’t see schools closing for summer severe weather.

Now this is normal on game shows but on local newscasts? What is CBS 5 thinking? Maybe they should get rid of it to help pay their $27,500 penaly for the famed “Wardrobe Malfunction” since they are owned by CBS?

Another Packer game tonight. Hopefully it goes better than last week. Rumor has Mike McKenzie going in a trade with tonight’s opponent – New Orleans. Good thing I just ordered a new away Ahman Green jersey. I had an away McKenzie jersey.

In other news, instead of deciding what to do with the Expos first, the baseball owners have extended Bud Selig’s contract. I think they should have determined what to do with the Expos because they keep putting it off. Bud’s contrct expired in 2006, so they didn’t have to do it yet.

NASCAR Busch Qualifying was delayed by rain, but after a inflatable orange. NASCAR.com Story. No, the race is not in Florida. It is in Joliet, Illinois. I have never heard about any sporting event being delayed by an ORANGE before. Beach Ball – yes, oranges – no.

I’ve done some work on the site today. I revamped the anvil seen in hte background of some of the ‘title’ graphics. I made the body black, widened the base, added an outline, and changed to green text. I also have put the ‘Summerfest OnYour Site’ to the home page, as Summerfest is right around the corner. I know it really squishes things, but I thought it was nice that Summerfest offered something like that. The calendar on the right has been ‘fixed’ (problem was more visible in IE than Mozilla) and the text made bigger, to better fit the sidebar.

There were some strange fut funny traffic problems this morning. First, a truck with boxes of wine turned over on the ramp from Northbound 45 to Bluemound. I don’t think the driver sampled his cargo. And second, Western Ave (located south of Jackson) was closed from CTH P to 45 because a house was blocking the road. Not just one of those oversized load houses, it was a full-fledge two story house with garages following. I don’t think it would have made it over the bridge.
EDIT: The wheels got stuck in the mud as they were trying to avoid power poles.
